Fraunhofer IPA's ultra cleanroom featured

The Ultraclean Technology and Micromanufacturing department with the Fraunhofer Institute of Production and Automation (Fraunhofer IPA), Stuttgart, Germany, develops integrated, innovative and results-oriented solutions for micromanufacturing tasks involving processes, equipment and production technology, according to the Fraunhofer IPA Web site.

In this video, Fraunhofer IPA offers an overview of the department's ability to test cleanliness-compliant equipment using particle counters, flow measurement technology, visualization and simulation. The cleanroom meets the ISO 1 standard, which means the level of air contamination in the cleanroom is limited to 12 particles of 0.3µm and smaller per cubic meter.
